Grace Baptist Church was founded in 1957 by Rev. J.C. Justice,
who has since gone home to be with the Lord. The church has
seen many souls saved and went through several upgrades and
expansions since its founding. In 2005 the congregation called
Wesley Agee as its pastor. In 2006 the church purchased a bus
and started a bus route. The bus runs on Sunday mornings and
Wednesday nights and many young children and teens have
come to the Lord through this ministry. Our youth and teen
ministries have exploded. The Sunday School rooms were at full
capacity to overflowing with children and teens. The church was
in great need of additional space. In 2008 the Lord blessed the
church by allowing us to purchase the property next door with
much needed land (for parking) and a residence that was
immediately transformed into a fellowship center and children's
church. This purchase was an answer to 15 years of prayer by
the congregation. The church's largest room (outside of the
sanctuary) is now in the Fellowship Center along with a full
kitchen and prophet's chamber. Children's Church meets in the
large room on Sunday morning while the adults meet in the
sanctuary. The Teens use the room for Sunday School and on
Wednesday evenings. The building is also used for our birthday
fellowships and special occasions. On most Sunday mornings the
church Sanctuary is at 80% capacity or greater. We look
forward to seeing what the Lord will do in the near future
concerning our need of a larger sanctuary.
It is evident that the Lord has taken an interest in the ministry
of Grace Baptist Church. Our people are loving and kind. We
have a close fellowship with one another and we are a family
of believers joined together to worship our Lord and reach others
with the glad tidings of the death, burial and resurrection of our
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Please make it a point to
join us during one of our services as we gather around the Word
of God. No doubt, the first 50 years of Grace Baptist Church
were exceptional. However, we look forward to what the
Lord will do in the future as we continue to serve Him. Click on
