Our Pastor
Growing up in the mountains of Floyd County, VA, I
accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour as a very
young boy and was called to preach during my teenage
years. I fought the Lord’s leading in my life until my early
thirties. At that time I surrendered to the Lord’s call and
my family and I moved to Lattimore, NC where I attended
Ambassador Baptist College.
In 2003, with much help from the Lord, I earned my three
year Graduate of Theology Diploma; and in 2004, I
earned my Bachelor of Biblical studies; majoring in Bible
and Pastoral Studies from Ambassador Baptist College.
My wife and I worked at the college until 2005 when I was
called to pastor Grace Baptist Church.
I am currently working on my Master of Theology degree
from West Coast Baptist College in
Lancaster, CA.
While we were in Lattimore, NC, our children grew up.
Our son is working in a construction business in VA. Our
daughter is married and living in Shelby, NC with her
husband. My wife and I became grandparents in May
2007 and again in 2010.
My wife and I were married in 1983. The Lord has
blessed me with a wonderful, supportive, and
outstanding wife. She has been very encouraging and is
a terrific help to me. She earned her Associate degree
in Business Administration in 2007 in Organizational
Management and Leadership. In 2010 she earned her
Bachelor's degree in the same field and is looking
forward to beginning her Master's.
The Lord led me to pastor Grace Baptist Church in May of
2005. My wife and I have loved our time here and look
forward to many more years with the good people of
Grace Baptist Church.
